New Cloud SIN Included in Schedule 70 Refresh
In response to increasing demand for cloud based services and offerings, a new cloud Special Item Number (SIN) was included as part of the General Services Administration (GSA) IT Schedule 70 refresh this month. The cloud SIN makes it easier for agency customers to locate and purchase internet-based cloud service items, such as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) offerings. Because cloud-based internet solutions are in high demand and often coupled with other non-cloud based IT offerings, housing them under the new cloud SIN makes sense for helping agency customers and industry partners locate and distribute the right solutions quickly.
How to Add Cloud SIN to Your Contract
If your GSA Schedule contract currently offers cloud services through Schedule 70 or a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA), you can have the new cloud SIN added to your offerings by preparing and submitting a modification request. To complete this process, the following items must be up-to-date and accurate:
- GSA Advantage Text File and Catalog File
- System for Award Management (SAM) registration
- All mandatory mass modifications accepted
