DOD EMALL Permanently Closes Its Virtual Doors

As of June 18th, 2017, the DOD EMALL has shut its doors to usher in a new era of the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) FedMall.  FedMall was created to provide a new, more commercial type of shopping experience incorporating new search technology and increased vendor portal functionality.  However, the change to FedMall does cause a certain amount of imposition on existing EMALL users.  All EMALL users and vendors will need to re-register on FedMall as their accounts will not be automatically migrated over to the new system.  Vendors must re-upload their catalogs using the new FedMall template in order to sell their items.  Due to the site being brand-new, the creators of FedMall, along with co-creator IBM, are currently in the process of troubleshooting many known bugs regarding registration and catalog uploads.  FedMall with be conducting nightly maintenance from 8:00pm to 1:00am ET in order to resolve these issues.  In addition to continuous maintenance, the FedMall Town Hall was initiated to allow shoppers and supplies to voice their questions, concerns, and issues regarding their experience with the new system.  It is also important to note that any purchases made on EMALL prior to June 13th, 2017 will follow the normal purchase cycle.  To learn more about FedMall and register with FedMall click here.
